R.I.P Evan Dube
So there is this freshman in my school, Evan Dube, that passed away yesterday while abroad, doing archeological research in the Shetland Islands.
Although I did not know Evan very well (I had only met him once), he made quite a first impression, with the school faculty as well as with his peers. He was intelligent, funny, and so kind-hearted… We met after he starred in a school theater production, which is where I went up to him to compliment his small but outstanding role that he portrayed perfectly.
It isn’t fair that he had to leave so soon in his life, and it makes us doubt any faith that we could have ever had…. But Evan was a happy person, and he died fulfilling already so much, which is what anyone could hope for… Dying doing something you love…
Evan, my heart goes out to you, your family and your friends. May you rest in peace
